Nothing to report from yesterday - arrived, napped, ate, slept!
Too much water involved to take my camera today (again) so have mined Google for pics of what we did:
Leisurely floating down a shallow, crystal clear river just centimetes away from schools of hundreds of fish - not a bad way to spend a Friday morning! Bonito is famous for its gorgeous waters so couldn't resist a spot of snorkelling :) Marine life obv wasn't anywhere near as colourful and diverse as in Galapagos but was so relaxing & there were monkeys snoozing on branches and hopping from tree to tree in the surrounding forest. A nature lover's paradise!
Only complaint is that it's not sunny!! Mission tan failing miserably, fell into the common trap of thinking Brazil = hot when actually its tropical climate means the skies can open without warning and cane it down for hours (it did this the whole way from the Pantanal to Bonito, should have left a bar of soap in my backpack so I wouldn't have had to pay for laundry!). It's still warm though which makes a nice change :) Fingers crossed for sun tomorrow so we can hit the water park!
